RESUMÉ

I began DJing at WVVS Valdosta, GA 90.9fm back in 1996. I was the program director and trained other students on how to be competent air talent. I ran Nothing Radio for 4 years playing with the format from a traditional Radio format to a 2 hour block of Mixed Industrial/Goth. I learned basic segues and beatmixing from the Techno/House DJs who worked at the station and the show slowly evolved into mixed sets of music that would flow for 2 solid hours. My style focused more on abstract and guitar driven industrial and goth than the oontzy. In later years I would embrace EBM and Synthpop into this flow. I learned that there was more to mixing than making beats match successfully. I focused on building narratives and themes within the mixes. It adds an extra layer of challenge to the mix, and makes it enjoyable to dance to or just sit and listen for the "story" there in.

After college I began to promote and support local Augusta, GA Art Rock acts like The Hellblinki Sextet, or experimental industrial shows at the (now closed) Hangnail Gallery. I at the the few local gothic and industrial nights in Augusta GA when I learned they actually existed. After pushing my Demo CDs into enough hands, I landed my first guest spot gig at Thee Black Celebration at The New Brookland Tavern in Columbia South Carolina on July 20th 2002. From there I began to volunteer my time and resources at the various club nights around the Columbia area. In early 2003, I joined with Prodigal Productions. With Prodigal, I helped organize several nights around the Columbia, SC area. Prodigal Productions disbanded in Fall of 2005, and I left to focus on my personal DJ career in other portions of the country.

January 31st 2003, marked my entrance into travelling guest spots, when I spun at the Fetish Goth event, Purgatory in Charlotte, NC. Since then I've been travelling around the country, spinning events in Atlanta, Washington DC, Raleigh NC, Philedelphia PA, Milwaukee WI, Seattle Wa and Savannah GA.

In 2006 I relocated to the Seattle, WA area. After 4 years of inactivity, I launched my own Live 365 Station "Dark Bohemia Radio" and am now proudly contributing to the sunday night line up of Radio Blacklight.

My Goal is simple. Put good music in people's ears. So long as I have either a club dancefloor, an online radio station, a place to put my ravings, or even a crappy cassette recorder, I will continue being a DJ. And if I can tell a neat story in the process, then I've done my job right.
